This grill does a great job at home (I'm not a camper or tailgater), using a regular tank of propane. Need to pre-heat for about 15 minutes, which doesn't really use much fuel, then it's ready for steaks, burgers, salmon, chicken breasts, etc. One key is to learn how long to cook without getting things too well done. It depends on the thickness of meat, fish, etc. With practice, you can get those steaks looking like the ones on the Ruth's Chris bill boards.

The only problem I've had is a 'hot spot' on the right-front of the grill, but it may be that I need a new burner.

I have had this item for one year. I took some time for me to learn to use it properly, but once I did... holy crap, what a marvelous grill. We, my wife and I, have used it to make just about everything you can grill. We use the recipes from the Weber website, and many of our own recipes and ideas. It has not disappointed us, and we do not expect it to do so. The heat is even throughout the surface of the grill, and the flame can be fine tuned for any job. We did remove the fold out flaps, as they were a little wobbly, and could not be trusted to hold much weight. If this item is purchased, take the time to learn how to use it properly. I guarantee you will *NOT* be disappointed.

I have never grilled or BBQ'd before because I was afraid of the high heat and technical difficulties involved (charcoal vs propane; small vs bigger; etc...). But I really love the taste of BBQ and would have to wait for someone to invite me over for a meal. Got tired of waiting around so I did some research and decided to go with a Weber Q because of all the great reviews. I also bought the cart, adapter hose, and larger propane tank to go with it.

Did my first BBQ chicken yesterday and it was awesomely easy! Lit it with one push of a button, preheated the grill, slapped the chicken on and less than 10 minutes later I had that great BBQ flavor you just can't get on a stove! Cleanup was a quick scrub with the brush and wipe around the grill.

    Pros:
    ~Push button start up
    ~Heats up very quickly
~Compact size (doesn't take up a lot of room on my condo lanai)
~Lots of room on the grate for your food - Got about 8 chix thighs on there with no problem)
    ~Temperature control knob
    ~Easy to clean

    Cons:
~Kinda heavy for a gal to lug around on her own(from the car to the lanai I had to take a rest break)
~The side flaps are flimsy. I only rested my oven mitts on them.

I can't wait to start grilling all kinds of things...portabello mushrooms, shrimp, Korean kalbi, onions, garlic, asparagus...not to mention burgers, steaks, and sausages!

I bought this gas grill to replace a 25+ year old smokey joe.

This grill worked great out of the box with a disposable cylinder, but I did have a problem when using it with a 20 lb propane tank.

After following the lighting directions to the letter (opening the propane tank valve slowly, waiting a minute or so before turning the grill's regulator valve) it would not start (I must have spent a frustrating hour playing with it, reading, re-reading the instructions). I thought the adapter hose was bad so I went back to the big box store and exchanged the adapter hose. No ignition.

Then I called Weber who suggested the propane tank was bad (the support said that the tanks you get on exchanges are used and reused and abused); so I exchanged that. Still no ignition. I called Weber again who, after walking me through the connecting and lighting steps several times sent me another adapter hose which arrived after about 10 days. It still didn't work so after calling Weber again, I was sent a new regulator, which arrived after ten days. That did the trick so now, after over 4 weeks, I finally am able to use the 20 lb propane tank. I just wish the problem could've been diagnosed quicker.

Otherwise, I'm happy with the product it grills burgers, steaks, veges to perfection with no hassle over lighting coals.

We live in a small apartment in Brooklyn, NY with an 8x22 patio to enjoy our summer days. This grill is wonderful. It is so easy to use; we even enjoy grilled meals during the winter months. All types of foods are cooked evenly - from meat to vegetables - they all come out perfect every time. I also bought the vinyl cover and rolling cart. Both were excellent purchases!! The rolling cart is stable and the vinyl cover is heavy-duty which fits the grill perfectly. I highly recommend this grill, you won't be disappointed!

We purchased this grill AFTER returning from a vacation to the West, mostly Montana & Glacier Park. We had brought a portable charcoal grill with us, but because there were wild fires burning around the state & the Park, no open fires were allowed. As we sat in our new motor home, eating a cold sandwich, the aroma of sizzling meat on a grill wafted in. We ran outsde to find the source. Our neighbor had this same Weber grill set up on the picnic table & was grilling steaks. Seems gas grills like this are ok, just not charcoal ones. We encountered this several more times, so as soon as we got back, we got on the internet to research these, the 200 seemed perfect. We also ordered the rolling stand for it & the portable cover top. We have used it on our deck at home even though we have a larger grill, but this has fastly become everyon'e favorite. We won't be without it again. It fits perfectly in one of the underbelly compartments of the motor home. I highly recommend the Weber Q 200, size is perfect, it is well made. Just wish I had bought it before our trip but now it will always be traveling with us. Happy camping!!

I love Weber grills - in my opinion a good value for the money. And, for the price I think this Q200 is an incredible deal. The design is phenomenal: simple and sturdy and I'm confident this thing will last for quite a while. I have friends who've used the Q series for years and swear by them for portability but top notch grilling as well. Is there a better tailgating or car camping grill? Show me.

I bought this because we're low on storage space so I need to be able to put this away periodically without it taking up the entire storage shed.

I still can't believe I had this grill up and running out of the box in 5 minutes. The last grill I bought took me a heck of a lot longer to assemble.

    I recommend!! Don't delay.

This was a birthday gift to me, but the boyfriend has taken over as the grill-master ever since (a diabolical plan on my part). The grill is super-efficient -- heats up fast, cooks evenly, and doesn't take up too much space on our small balcony. A friend purchased a small metal "smoker" box that you can stuff with mesquite chips to add extra grilling flavor -- awesome! I would recommend this grill to anyone, especially apartment dwellers like us with limited outdoor space.

if you ever have to call Weber customer service you are in trouble. They employ the nicest sounding, most polite people on the face of the earth but they are clueless.
They are worse than the the strictest script reading overseas CSR's because they are convinced that you are stupid and the key to your intellectual salvation lies on the scripted response sheet they have in front of them.
If you have mechanical or engineering experience that indicates what they are telling you might be wrong, well you are just a silly man!!
