You can fit two racks of precooked baby-back pork ribs on this grill. Easy to assemble and easy to use. Well worth the money.
This grill is fantastic! It grills perfectly. There are some foods that my wife doesn't like the aroma of when fried.
This grill allows me to cook those foods anytime I want. It's small enough to fit on my back porch so I plan to grill all winter long. If it had a drawback it's the size of the gas canisters. Which is why I will be ordering the large tank adapter.
Would definitely buy thus product again. Perfect for two. Stores anywhere and grill fits in the dishwasher.
Great low cost portable grill. Most of the grills like these today are junk and they seem to stop working after a short while due to the gas valve eventually going out (the valve on theses looks much better made). I have only taken mine out a couple times so far. It does have some very nice features over most similar grills; electric start, which is much easier then trying to light by hand, the grill also has a nice feature that allows you to hang the lid on the grill while flipping your food, and a clip to lock the metal legs to keep the unit from moving while in-use.
We purchased this to take to the lake this summer. We used it several times and enjoyed it very much. We did buy the adapter so we could hook up the larger tank; it did what it needed to do and I've no doubt it will get lots of use at the lake, tail gating, etc... I am not giving it five stars becase it doesn't cook as nicely as a large gas grill but then again we didn't expect it would. For the size and price I'd say it was a very good purchase.
We bought the grill to take with us on vacation earlier in the summer. It has a nice, easy to transport set-up, with folding legs that seem like they will be rickety, but turn out to be pretty stable. Putting the grill together the first time took about a half an hour.
Overall, the food came out well when using this grill and it was compact and easy to handle. The only complaints are that it is is hard to tell that the fire has ignited when first turning it on (I was always worried that the gas was just coming out and creating a hazard, and it is hard to see through the little viewer hole made for that purpose) and that it did not ever get quite as hot as I would have thought, increasing the cooking time and changing cooking strategies. Otherwise, no other complaints. We'll see how well it holds up to multiple uses.
I've had nothing but problems with this little grill since day one.
I needed a new grill, as my big gas grill finally died, rather then spend tons on repairs, I decided to get a big Weber charcoal grill (which I love, except for the non steel cooking grate), and a little Go-Anywhere gas grill. I have been through several 'flavorizor bars', and if I cook when there is any breeze at all, the flame goes out. I've replaced ever part of the insides, to no avail.
I cannot express strongly enough how much I HATE this grill. Nothing like going outside, to find no smoke coming from the grill ... just luke warm, undercooked meat ... YUM.
I will say that the people at Weber's customer service have been very kind, and try to be helpful, but nothing works. I am really bummed that I own this grill
Right out of the box it was grilling at Bonnaroo. It was easy to use, convenient and the hit at the concert. No major flare ups, compact/portable and even temperature. What else could you want.
The key point with this grill is to remember that it is a portable gas grill. It is not designed to perform in the same league as the larger gas grills. In this class of grills, it would be tough to beat. The parts are much more rugged and the support is simply unbeatable with Weber.
I have a large Weber gas grill that I use at the house and have been extremely satisfied with it. This portable grill works great on fishing, hunting, camping and beach trips. It folds up compactly and is easy to transport. Simply put, I will only buy Weber for here on out after owning many others(Char-Broil, Thermos, Charm Glow). When I had those, I didn't realize that there was as big of a difference in the pricier Webers as there is. Generally speaking, they heat much more evenly and quicker (often with lower BTU ratings) than the competition.
The igniter works great on this grill. It just requires being set up properly (takes ~1 minute to do). I take it that many of the reviewers that were having problems simply bolted it all together without adjusting the gap between the electrode and the burner.
If you are looking for a lightweight, simple to use portable gas grill this one fits the bill perfectly. Happy Grilling!
This grill is all the the other reviews say it is. I find it amazing that the flavor of the food is similar to that of a charcoal grill. We've been using it for about a month now and it is easy to cook on and cooks fast. The only drawback is that the gas cartridge only lasts about 2 or 3 uses. I highly recommend it! You can't go wrong for the price!
