I have used this grill MANY times since purchasing it almost 3 months ago.
It performs as promised, and is extremely sturdy. The grill will probably outlive me.
Weber supplies an assistance number where you can actually talk to a person if help is needed during assembly. The directions could be better but if you use common sense you'll be ok.
The purchase experience through Amazon was exceptional, grill arrived within 5 days of ordering.
This product came with detailed and easy to follow assembly guides which had me cooking in under an hour. The grill is extremely sturdy and cooks great. I haven't had a single problem with the grill and I have cooked on it every night since I assembled it.
I bought this for work, my fire station and it works just fine. Shipped on time, too.
We've really enjoyed our grill and expect to get many years of use out of it. We haven't yet begun to plumb the possibilities. However, this thing was born on its head! It was delivered in fine shape, but some of the hardware was missing. Called Weber. They apologized profusely and sent more nuts and bolts. Half way through assembly, I discovered it had a faulty frame! Another call to Weber, more apologies, a free cookbook (which is cool!) and, a week later, a new frame. Actually, Weber's help line is quite good. You speak to a human being who has a command of English and understands the product. And Weber needs it too given their poor quality control. Installing the new frame required me to disassemble the grill further than it had originally come. Despite claims to the contrary, the grill is not easy to assemble when the unit was as poorly inspected as this one was. What should have been one evening, spread over nearly two weeks.
Cleaning the grill is not difficult if you use the 15 minute "burn off"--sort of a self cleaning feature. We have a natural gas model, so who's counting. But if you have a propane model, you may make more trips to fill your tank than you expect if you use this feature.
I've been searching for just the right grill for the small patio at my condo for several months. I was put off by the Weber's price, but finally decided to go for it when nothing else compared favorably.
So glad I did! It was easy to assemble (I'm a 52-year-old woman, and I put it together by myself) and is extremely well made. The grilling area is spacious, despite the overall size, and it gets very hot, very quickly.
It looks like, with proper care, it could last forever!
